Can the sports stars be role models for the society?

It really depends. Like Kobe Bryant, I don’t mean he is perfect. He’s got many things I dislike, in fact. Like he cheats on his wife. But the I have to admire professionalism he got. He’s nick name is “4 o’clock in LA”. It means he would get up in four in the morning to start his training. You know, normal people could never manage that. It reuires a really strong will and perseverance. I think his spirits rubbed off on me.

And to some athletes, it’s just another story. Like Phelps who won 7 gold medals in one Olympic Games. He smokes weeds, as I heard, not just one time. It’s not a good news for those teenagers who look up to him. And Lace Armstrong who won the champion of tour de france for 7 times. And it turned out that drugs helped him to win. it’s not just a scandal. It destroyed the dreams of all the people who love sports. And of course it’s not a role model for the teens.
