雅思作文的introduction应包含三个要素:
- 告知读者文章的scope,你可以通过paraphase(改述)作文题目来实现。
- 确定论点。这个点可以融进"告知读者文章的scope"部分。
- 意图或观点(或两者兼有)句,这句话通常也叫"论题陈述"句。
今天我们通过几个例子来看看怎么改述雅思大作文的题目。
我推荐以下3种方法:
- 改词性。你想要改述的词有名词/形容词/动词词性吗?如果你找不到这个词的近义词,那就试试这个词的其它词性。举个例子:creative可以改成creativity;imagination可以改成imaginative。
- 找近义词。改写的常见方法是用同义词替代。在备考的时候,准备一些高频词汇的近义词并牢记。比如,should的同义词ought to,children的同义词youngsters。需要注意的是,有的词很难找到同义词,比如artist,再比如competitive。在实在找不到同义词的情况下,可以不用改写这个词。
- 改句子结构。比如把主动式改成被动式,反之亦然;或者改句子里的从句结构。简单句,复杂句,和复合句相结合,句子类型和句子长度要灵活多变,这样你的文章也会比较自然。
以下举几个雅思大作文题目的改述例子(特别注意加粗部分):
话题: Urbanization
题目:Many small town center shops are running out of business because rural residents tend to go shopping in big city stores. To what extent do the disadvantages of this development outweigh the advantages?
改述:The trend of urbanization is causing many rural town businesses to go bankrupt or lose business, as shoppers prefer to buy their products in large department stores and shopping malls.
题目:In many countries, more money is being spent on transport systems in the cities. In contrast, very little is spent in rural areas. What are the effects of this? What can be done to solve this problem?
改述:There seems to be a general trend these days for governments to invest heavily in urban public transport, while investment in non-urban community transport is lacking.
话题:Environment
题目:Scientists have been warning for many years about environmental protection and that we should limit the use of energy in our daily lives. What are the reasons for this? How to encourage people to take an interest towards environment protection?
改述:The last few decades have seen a prolific increase in scientific literature about the dangers of environmental degradation and so encourage people to reduce their energy use.
话题:Gender issues
题目:Some people think that men are naturally more competitive than women. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
改述:It has been commonly assumed by many that males are instinctively more competitive than females.
话题:Work
题目:The world of work is changing rapidly. Working conditions today are not the same as before and people no longer rely on taking one job for life. Describe the possible causes and give suggestions on how people should prepare for work in the future.
改述:Over the last few decades, the work environment has been radically changing and as such, so has the concept of having just a single career or line of work in one's life.
写作备考不要懒,要真的去写,去表达自己的观点、想法,哪怕没有那么华丽的辞藻。写完之后要仔细分析、认真总结。
